Counseling
The ultimate goal of school counseling programs is student learning. A comprehensive school counseling program focuses on what all students should know, understand, and be able to do within the three domains (academic development, personal/social growth, and career development) in order to develop into contributing members of our society.

Specific goals for our counseling program are to
  • Reach every student (through individual planning & quarterly visits to the advisory period)
  • Provide responsive services to students, parents and staff members
  • Be preventative and promote a healthy and safe school climate
  • Use data to drive decisions (test data & formal and informal surveys)
  • Reflect the school's needs and be conducted in collaboration with all stakeholders
  • Always ask "How are students different as a result of the school counseling program?"
  • Focus on the National Counseling Standards

These are the counseling assignments for the 2011-2012 school year. All counselors have 9th - 12th grade students in their alpha breakdown.
